About this design
Talking with a birder means getting used to the pause: they're halfway through a story, something flits past, and up come the binoculars. This design is the friendly warning label.
A round little bluebird with an orange belly perches on a brown branch with green leaves at the top. “WARNING” sits below in small green capitals, “MAY STOP MID-SENTENCE TO” follows in terracotta condensed type, and “LOOK AT A BIRD” is stacked in chunky terracotta letters with a green shadow.
The mug belongs at the kitchen window, next to the binoculars and the field guide.
Who it's for
It's for backyard birders, Audubon members, retirees with a feeder outside every window, and anyone who keeps a life list. Give it for a birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day or a retirement party.
