Will a new pickleball player appreciate it?

Yes. Beginners feel the “rougher on the knees” part almost immediately, so the joke lands from week one.

Does it work as a retirement gift?

Pickleball and retirement go hand in hand for a lot of people, so it's a natural fit for a new retiree.

Is the design on both sides of the mug?

Yes. The design is printed on both sides, so it faces out whether the mug is held in the left hand or the right.

About this design

Pickleball fixes a lot: stress, boredom, an empty Saturday. It does not fix knees. Here's the whole truth about everyone's new favorite sport, sore parts included.

A green paddle with an orange grip swings at a yellow-green ball, holes and all, drawn with a dark outline. “PICKLEBALL” sits below in big chunky green letters with a deep navy shadow, then “CHEAPER THAN THERAPY” in small dark capitals and “ROUGHER ON THE KNEES” in larger green type.

Post-game coffee tastes better from this mug, with an ice pack within reach.

Who it's for

Think of the retiree at the community center every morning, the dad who just discovered dinking, or the friend who keeps asking you to join their league. It works for Christmas, Father's Day or the whole doubles crew.
