What's the joke behind Leftovers: The Sequel Is Always Better?

That the turkey sandwich the day after Thanksgiving beats the dinner itself, which is more than most movie sequels manage.

Can I wear it after Thanksgiving?

Sure. There's no date or turkey on it, just a sandwich, so leftover lovers can wear it year-round.

Can the sticker go on a water bottle or cooler?

Yes. It's a durable vinyl sticker that holds up to everyday handling and the occasional splash. Hand wash anything it's stuck to; dishwashers wear stickers down.

About this design

Thanksgiving dinner gets all the attention, but true fans know the best meal of the weekend happens Friday at noon, standing at the open fridge with a fork. This design gives leftovers the credit they're owed.

A triangle-cut sandwich sits at the top, green lettuce, sliced turkey and a red layer of cranberry peeking out along the cut edge, with a red-frilled toothpick stuck through it. “LEFTOVERS” runs across in chunky terracotta slab letters with a green shadow, followed by “THE SEQUEL IS” in small green capitals and “ALWAYS BETTER” in terracotta condensed type.

The sticker goes on the fridge door or a stack of food storage containers.

Who it's for

Give it to the person who builds the day-after sandwich with stuffing in the middle, the movie buff with strong opinions about sequels, or anyone who packs a cooler of leftovers for the drive home.
